about

Similar to Buddy Thomas' version (see Rounder 0032), but still, there's a difference. Rhys learned this one from a tape of Mark Gunther and Jim playing together back around 1993 at Battleground, IN. Mark, a great fiddler in his own right (if he'd only play!) and founder of the Chicago Barn Dance Company, tells us that he learned it from Dave Vettick back around 1972.
