about

Christina Wheeler taught this one to Rhys. She got it from Jimmy Triplett, a fine musician and student of West Virginia fiddling living in Ames, Iowa at the time of this recording. Jimmy tells us that the tune comes from a fiddler named Marion Shinaberry from Greenbank, WV, who was recorded in the 1940s by L.W. Chappell.
